Rubbermaid Food Storage Containers with Easy Find Lids 24-Piece Set

I love these containers. The lids fit tight and they stack perfectly. Caution if you heat something to boiling in the microwave using the vented lids, though. If you boil too fast, the liquid can spew out the vent on the lid like a surfacing whale! What a mess. I learned that the hard way; longer time + lower power = not having to clean my microwave because of boil-overs again. Did I mention they easily withstand being used to boil things in the microwave? My last set (a different brand) didn't hold up so well to that. This set does it without any problems. And, they wash up easy, too.

I've used several brands of this type of storage container. I prefer Rubbermaid over the other brands. I moved from a place with a smaller kitchen a while back, and have been gradually adding things to my household supplies. Not too long ago I bought 4 very large Rubbermaid containers. I have some smaller Tupperware containers, but their lids don't fit well, so I am planning on returning them to the relative who gave them to me. This left me needing a bunch of small and medium sized kitchen storage containers, so I ordered this set, and I like them as much as I like the very big ones I bought. The lids work well, and the bases are clear enough to see what's in them. They can go in the fridge, freezer, and dishwasher. They can also be stacked when stored. I don't recommend putting any plastic container in the microwave, as the heat releases some of the plastic chemicals into the food. This is not healthy. Also don't use plastic wrap in the microwave for the same reason. Anyway, I like these containers a lot, they can be used for other than food related items, and they last a while. I will get more if I need to, and I do recommend them to others.
