I love this ambidextrous canning ladle so much! Especially since I am a Southpaw. Canning with my regular ladle was difficult as it had no pour spout like this one. it got a little messy even though i have the perfect wide mouth and regular mouth stainless funnels. this is going to be such an improvement and I have been canning tons of chunky soups and stuff with meat and veggies. This is not a cheaply made, thin stainless. It is a HEAVY DUTY durable good. I even reviewed it on Facebook I liked it so much.

It shouldn't be so hard to find a stainless steel ladle with a decent sized, not too shallow scoop, but surprisingly it is. I chose this one because it has zero plastic anywhere, it's 100% stainless steel, it has a hanging hole on the handle, and also, because it has indents on both sides to make a clean pour whether you are using the left hand OR the right hand, very clever feature. It's marketed as a canning ladle, but I use it for soups and sauces for now. Things like home cooked beans, marinara sauce, chili, etc. So far so good. I am able to put the scoop upside down at the edge of the pot, and lean the handle on the counter, and it stays, and does not drip anywhere, so that's an easy way to use it without having to dirty a spoon rest, etc.
