I am a 71 years of age Type 1 Diabetic since 1964 and a popcorn lover. This is the best hot air popper that I have ever used! I tried it out as soon as it was delivered here. Wow! I'm impressed! No kernels that are not popped fly out, and popped corn doesn't fly all over the place as in my previous hot air popper despite my large stainless steel popcorn bowl set underneath. The Orville Redenbacher Fountain Hot Air Popper eliminates the mess which is why I bought it! And it's fun to watch too! One word of caution: there is no on and off switch so be sure to pour 1/2 cup popcorn kernels into the center compartment BEFORE it is plugged into an electrical outlet because popping takes place soon afterwards, and DO NOT WALK AWAY while popping because when the popping has almost stopped, unplug the Orville Redenbacher Fountain Hot Air Popper. Place the red lid back on, then carefully flip it over! This popcorn tastes delicious and I only found 3 kernels that did not pop out of 1/2 cup kernels that I started with! Awesome! This is absolutely worth the purchase price!

Good Design

I have at least one large bowl of popcorn a day so I do give my popper a workout and after my last one died in less then a year I decided to look for a sturdier one. This popper was more expensive than I was expecting but if it lasts it will be worth it. Only time will tell but so far so good. It does pop almost every kernel and the built in bowl is handy and keeps the corn from flying all over the kitchen. It's easy to clean, just wipe down the base and the bowl is washable in the sink. The only negatives I can see are that it only comes in red, there is no power button you use the power cord to turn it on or off, and the little lid that snaps on the bowl is made of very thin cheap plastic. Overall I'm very pleased with my purchase and hope to be using this popper for years to come.

$56. was a lot of money for a little popcorn maker. Consumers are ever increasingly being bilked out of cash - not because all the costs of supply have gone up, but because some prices had to increase - Everything's price increased, half of which in the name of sheer greed. So I could only afford that -one- present this year and still be able to provide a Christmas dinner. Yeah, I'm a little salty about that.
