Presto PopLite Hot Air Popcorn Popper

I LOVE this air popper! I was spending at least $6.00-$8.00 a week buying organic popcorn from our local grocer and there were always a ton of unpopped kernels on the bottom of the bag. This air popper pops 98% of the kernels and does a great job! The kids love watching it pop and it takes only 3 minutes. Just don't use a shallow bowl when popping, as those last kernels can really fly out of there easily.

This is a great way to prepare popcorn because it heats the corn so evenly. Leaves very few (if any) unpopped kernels. For years, used the stovetop with a lidded pot and olive oil. Definitely prefer using this popper. It is a bit loud when running. Because it works quickly and produces consistent results, the noise isn't a bother. Comes with a measuring "spoon" for the corn, which sits atop the popper under the plastic guard. The spoon doubles as a perfect warmer for melting butter. Young children would likely enjoy watching the corn pop :-) Good price point and highly recommended.

So far so good. We received this a couple of days ago and have used it twice. It's sturdier than I expected, it certainly works well. I got one of these at least 25 years ago, believe it was also a Presto, back when they came out. It survived moves, thousands of uses, and finally cracked because of what we did to it. This promises also to be a good one. Price was good. Yellow color was cheaper and it's cute.

This popper is wonderful! Pops popcorn really fast and a lot of it. Wide spout that is turned down a bit makes sure the popcorn goes into the bowl. Popcorn is light and fluffy.Love the color.

I really liked how easy it is to use this popper and How easy to clean. The popcorn turned out really good. Popcorn starts popping within 2-3 minutes. I highly recommend this air popcorn popper.

Used this for the first time last night in our home theater. Put in 1/2 cup of kernels and it provided A TON of popcorn with very few kernels left. Great healthy snack. The only reason it ranked a 4 I because you have to plug it and unplug it to turn the machine on and off, there is no switch. Our sockets sparked, which made me uneasy. Other than that, it's a great machine.

Good capacity. A bit slow on melting the butter. The popcorn will be finished popping before the butter is ready (just microwave it). This popper produces the highest percentage of unpopped kernals of any airpopper I have used, but that may be more the fault of the popcorn brand than the popper, I have been unable to find air popper specific popcorn locally.

Purchased thos to replace an older air popcorn machine that lasted us about 13 years. This one lasted only 2 years. The yellow cups that hols the butter started to get a hole in it and butter would drip into the popper. It got larger and now it quits after 1’minute. Glad to throw it away now. I went to a Whirley Pop, which makes delicious popcorn.

Hi guys, this is a real honest review. Here it goes: I received this air popper on March 23rd. We absolutely loved it. We have used it, approximately 10 times since then. With zero problems. Well, yesterday my 18yr old son went to make a batch of popcorn (he was watching Lord of the Rings with his little brother) and as soon as he plugged it in, it turned on like normal for about 10 seconds and then made a crackling sound, shut off, and had a burning smell. So, he called me downstairs and I plugged it in, it turned on, then immediately it shut off and sounded like it was smoldering. So it is officially kaput!! I came on here to see if I was still able to return it and, wouldnt you know it, the return time expired June 23rd :( I read the reviews before purchasing and most were good with the exception of a few that stated the problem I experienced. But its hard to find a product that has five stars all the way across the board. So I thought, well some of them are probably defective but it seemed, overall, like a good product. I didnt think that I would receive a defective one. So I am sure there are some people who have bought this and are completely satisfied and theirs is still working great. But if you purchase this, there is risk of it breaking down right after the allowed Return Time. :(

I have only had it a couple months it made one batch and wouldn't start again. I would expect a product to last at least a couple years not a couple months of using it every other week.
