I use mason jars for many things, to store my q-tips, cotton balls, and such in the bathroom, for coins, stitch counters and such throughout the house. This makes things much nicer for quick access rather than taking off the ring and then the top each time. The only thing I can say against it, and I do try to find things, is the rubber sealing part is not attached to the wood. Whole I do not see this being an issue now, I could see it might be as it ages. Then again, it might be nice if they could have replacements for when the rubber does fail. All in all, much nicer for decor. Very pleased, oh and much more reasonable than the Ball versions.
