I love that this toy is built to grow in stages with your baby. My grandson is 5 months and he can sit or do tummy time and interact with the toy, hit the tentacles and it not only talks and plays music but spins around. The thing I like most is that it's bright and colorful . But, I don't think it's appropriate for infants, maybe even babies as the heading suggests . The material is mostly hard plastic, and the movement is a little too fast in my opinion for either. Toddlers..yes it's very appropriate.
