it's difficult to find grain free cat food at Walmart. I had to order this because it wasn't in the store. My foster kitten is on grain free so being able to order it and have it delivered was great. she seems pretty happy with it.

Much to my surprise, upon reviewing a vet- written guide about the best cat foods in terms of macros, this was far and above one of the best. It has a greater ratio of protein to fat, and almost no carbohydrates. when I started feeding this to my cats, they were less hungry all the time, and their digestion improved. I was originally feeding them Kirkland brand wet food, but they are doing much better on a blend of this and regular Fancy Feast pate (which has more fat than protein, but again almost no carbs, which is important because cats are carnivores and should not get much of their diet from carbohydrates at all.) Only the pate types have the ideal macros, the gravy and chunks are not as good.
