Omg!! this lil baby is awesome I fried chicken in it and I didn't use the basket. i was able to put 5 whole jumbo wings in there at once and it cooks soooooo perfect. This baby heats up in seconds and cleans up with no scrubbing. I would love a bigger one and I may just make that investment.

It really is a multi cooker. I have already boiled spaghetti and potatoes. It gets hot fast and cooks fast. The basket seems a bit short in comparison to the size of the cooker, but I think it makes it safe to use. Which to me, that's great. The cord is a break away which is also great because I have another Presto product that doesn't break away and sometimes when I move that skillet it rips the cord right out of the pan. With the break away nothing gets ripped out. This cooker is small enough to put in tight areas. I would have gotten the bigger size, but this is absolutely perfect in size for a family of 2. Its very easy to clean, its durable, its a decent price and it is just perfect on so many levels. I totally recommend this product. If you feel compelled, I would even dare buy the bigger one for a larger family.

Love it. This is a replacement for a previous version that had black non-stick coating which came off! I was happy to see that Presto makes a ceramic lined electric pot as ceramic coatings are safer. Still must be careful about using sharp knives or utensils to stir with . Silicon only! I cook chicken, vegetables %26 eggs in my bathroom on the sink. My children are house guests and use the kitchen soo I cook in the bathroom. It works out well. I do not use oil for deep frying as my cardiologist says NO. The basket is great for boiling hard boiled eggs so they are easy to lift out. Enjoy!
