Rubber ducks are something that pretty much any child enjoys in their bath so this item is something that not only is useful to parents, but fun for the kids as well. When checking the temperature against another brands item that is similar, the temperature did match up. The duckie is a harder plastic, but has smooth edges. There is no area where water can get into the duck and cause mold issues. The numerics on the digital part of the duck are large enough for me to read without my glasses. I also like that this lights up to color. Red for too hot, etc. The duck is lightweight and after many uses, is still working nicely. With this duckie toy when it touches the water the temperature starts to let you know the fFahrenheit temperature of the water. The duck calculates the bath water temperature every second, and displays the temperature with 3 different color screens, with blue indicating cold, red indicating hot, and green indicating just right. When it came there was already 3 AAA batteries inside the duck so this made it ready to use. I am very pleased with this floating toy duck, and now I feel better about the grandbabies not getting burned by the water. I do recommend this toy floating duck.
