Honeywell Air Purifier, HPA200, 1500 sq ft, HEPA Filter, Allergen, Smoke, Pollen, Dust Reducer

Had to get an HEPA air purifier because pollen was so bad this year in our neighborhood. Even our cat was suffering from allergies so bad it caused a vet visit. I generally dont get affected as badly but the whole household was having a rough go of ot this year. I did some pretty thorough research and i decided this was the unit that was going to work for us. What I like and what I required from a unit was that the filtered air needed to exhaust upward. We are real limited on space in our house and wherever we need to put this in the house, the air discharging upward worked better than the air exhausting from front to back. Front to back wouldve caused the air to just blow on the wall. Filters arent cheap but they will last a while if maintenanced properly. Non of the filters are washable. On low speed it is very tolerable and makes for great "white noise" if you want to take a nap. Anything over low speed and its not quiet but not overwhelming. Just a small price to pay for better quality air and we are ok with that. Unfortunately, this particular model is discontinued but can still be found at a few retailers. Walmart was definitely the cheapest place to purchase from. Filters can be found also at numerous online retailers. I will probably try to find another unit sometime soon so we can have one in the living room and one in the bedroom. I am satified with this unit.
