The strainer will cover the garbage disposal hole

I put the train over my garbage disposal hold to keep dropping anything in there that doesn't need to be rounded up like spoons forks and other things that might not need to be ground up. This covers the whole area really well let the water through, but nothing that doesn't belong in the garbage disposal. When they need to be washed, I just put them in the dishwasher and wash them. I like these because they fit the hole really well.

Only problem is getting little pieces of food stuck in the tiny holes and not being able to get them out because they push through when you try to clean it, but I'm still highly satisfied with this buy, it doesn't look like it's going to break anytime soon and I've had it for months now. I have waist length hair and hair going down the shower drain is always a concern. I had a plastic hair catch in place but it would lift up or pop out and I'd have as much hair going down the drain then was in the catch! When I went to buy a replacement, I saw this and thought I may as well try it. I was really impressed! I couldn't believe how much hair it caught... the water drains so much faster than the plastic one did. I also like that it stayed in place easily and cleaning it was a breeze. I'm very happy with it!
