We bought this gate to put at the top of the stairs to our bonus room to keep our toddler grandchildren from taking a tumble down the stairs. Installation was pretty simple and it looks very nice. This is the gate extended as far as it will go. Love it. It's so pretty, easy to clean, and great quality. As others have said it is not a one hand open and close process. It's not easy to open so impossible for many kids lol.
