I really like the way the trash bag hooks on the trash can! It takes a little effort because it fits snug. Sure beats having things fall in the can instead of the bag! I find the lid very handy especially when I'm cooking. Press the foot lever gently and it will open and close when the lever is released. Press the foot lever all the way down and the lid will stay open for you. Then push the lid down until it clicks and it will close gently. The trash can looks nice in my kitchen too!

Great hands free trash can

I bought this for our kitchen because the stupid cats wouldn't stay out of our trash can with the flip lid. It works great to keep the critters out. I also love the hands free petal when my hands are dirty from cooking. I do have to keep the hinge part clean ( I have boys, so enough said) so the lid doesn't work well if it gets dirty.
