wasn't really sure how this would turn out. I live alone in the woods with an elder dog. when she goes out after dark I have to keep a light on her to ensure she doesn't wonder off. also, if we are inside at night and I hear something I get it out and check things out. this "flashlight" is like a power beam. you will be pleasantly surprised
