My wife has Alzheimer's and we are both elderly. She likes a cup of coffee with breakfast but it doesn't warrant brewing a whole pot and then dealing with the cleanup. This product does what it says it is supposed to do without any issues. It dispenses the coffee or tea and then shuts itself off. The only issue might be how long it will last but time will tell
