Two years ago I bought a used Chulux off of Ebay and had problems with it from the get go. I finally worked on the thing and got it to behave and it became my favorite coffee maker. I live at 5000 feet and I thought that was the problem, as the water would get too hot and boil over. After trying various, yes, I am insane, coffee makers I used a Keurig for a year but the water wasn't quite hot enough for me, no matter how I adjusted it. This year I splurged, yet again, and bought a new Chulux and got a 3 year warranty for it for 4 dollars. I couldn't be any happier, and vowed to buy new from now on. It makes perfect coffee and takes up no space compared to my other single serve coffee makers. I praise Chulux and Walmart, it was on sale for less than I bought my used one 2 years ago. Yes coffee drinkers are insane, or as psychologists say, we are obsessive compulsive.
