Great purchase

I've been cooking with Instant Pots the last several years but I wanted to check out the pinnacle of German cookware, so I invested in the Fissler. So far, it has been absolutely excellent, very good design, very intuitive and I have absolutely loved the results. Great feedback on the stews I've been able to make and I'm excited to check out other recipes with it. Best of all, it's not dependent on a built in computer, the manual aspect for me was a huge draw. 10/10

Worthwhile Upgrade

I replaced my Vitaquick after over a decade (it needs some replacement pieces and a little love, but still going strong - I gifted it to a friend) and this new pot is worthy of the price. The valve is so much easier to attach and remove which is nice, but the machine's ability to hold the pressure with more precision is the game changer. I make beef bones stews with chayote (mirilron) which is a member of the squash family. It is mostly made of of water and inevitably disintegrates in stews. Not with my new boy. Each chunk tenuous held its shape almost like a custard. Very impressive.

it's a game changer

Pressure cookers may not differ all that much in pure functionality or performance—but this one offers something more. There's a certain emotional quality to it. Cooking with it is genuinely enjoyable, and it makes the whole process feel simple, calm, and satisfying rather than just practical.
