Prior to buying this Instant Pot, I used the Duo. I needed a new one and chose this model because I wanted to try both the automatic steam release and Wi-Fi features. They're both great. The app is nice because it lets you know what stage the Instant Pot is currently on, with a progress bar for estimated time left in that stage, and sends you notifications when it moves from one to the next. It also lets you pick a recipe and will automatically use the settings associated with that recipe, but I've found it somewhat lacking. I usually already know what I intend on making, and I haven't really had luck with the recipes in the app. I also haven't had a need for any of the remote start features, but it's nice to know that's available. The automatic steam release is definitely my favorite part, though. It lets you either pick quick release, natural release, pulse release, or timed release. No more having to quickly turn the pressure valve once it's done and get burned from the steam.

I love how you can use this product for so many things! My favorites are slow cook, saute, and making yogurt! I do have one critique - when making yogurt on the boil setting, it doesn't actually get it up to the required 180 degrees, but I use the saute feature very briefly and it gets it up high enough!
