This provided and easy option for a problem other than monitering a baby. I cannot hear our doorbell in our bedroom, which is important since I sleep in the daytime, so I plugged in the "baby" part of the device, placed it on top of my existing door chime (the electric cord is long enough), then I plugged in the "parent" moniter near my bed. When I'm ready for sleep, I just turn it on and it works like a charm!

Peace of mind!!

I am taking care of my 89 year old Mother. I have cameras everywhere to make my life easier. However, I do not want a camera in the bathroom. This is PERFECT in the bathroom. I can hear when she flushes the toilet and if she needs me and calls for me, I can hear her even if I am upstairs. You have no idea the peace of mind this gives me. It has a two way speaker so I can talk to her and tell her I am on my way to help her. This eases her mind as well. You just never know when someone with dementia might be sitting on a trash can instead of a toilet and can not get up!! That is what prompted me to put this in the bathroom.

Fantastic Baby Monitors!

I am in love with these monitors! Not only were they some of the cheapest ones I found online, but they have the "parent talk back" feature, which was really important to me. I had been using some older monitors to listen to my two daughters (ages 3 and 7) at night, in case they needed something. Those monitors had tons of static, but I had gotten used to it, and it wasn't a problem. Then, I ordered these - with the intention to use them for the girls (because of the awesome talk-back feature), and use the old monitors for the new baby- and I love them so much I may have to order another set for the new baby! There is NO static whatsoever on the parent's monitor. NONE! The screen isn't bright and shining in my eyes all night. The screen shows the word "linked" to indicate that it is linked up with the child's monitor. I can hear everything that is going on in the girls' room, which is clear across the house - I can even hear both girls breathing on it (one girl is on a top bunk, one on bottom, I have the monitor on a shelf level with the top bunk)! My favorite thing about them, of course, is the "parent talk back" feature. There's a button on the side of the parent's monitor that I push and hold down while speaking into/at the monitor to the girls, then I release the button when I'm done talking and I can hear them again (I can't hear the while pushing the button down - it's like walkie-talkies). The girls can hear my voice anywhere in their room, and even into the hallway outside their room. I am looking forward to using this feature to wake up my seven-year-old in the mornings for school while I'm taking care of the new baby.
