Good but not great

I missed the cherry slices that Walmart used to carry and found these when I searched their site. Upon opening, they smelled really good. They were very fresh & soft, but the texture & flavor weren't what I was expecting. The cherry flavor almost seemed to have a cherry licorice hint. If you're looking for a cherry slide candy with a mild cherry flavor that's more like a homemade candy than store bought, then these might be just to your taste.
