This pen is my go-to when I write personal notes because it writes beautifully and smoothly but it doesn't let your hand get ahead of your head, if that makes sense. you have to push the pen a little bit rather than having it glide, You're making the marks, and that provides an intentionally calligraphic look which I really appreciate in notes that might be around and saved for years. It's not a ballpoint per se because it doesn't click, you have to remove the cap, totally worth that extra step. And they are incredibly affordable, which keeps me coming back.
