Augason Farms Bung Wrench Lid Lifter Tool

I had bought a bucket of oat meal that has a gasket seal on it and had all sorts of trouble getting the thing open. So, I saw this tool come up in an ad and thought I'd give it a try. I am so glad I did! This makes opening those sealed food buckets a snap. It's much heavier duty than it looks too. Works pretty much like a bottle opener. Put the bottom edge under the lip of the bucket and pull upwards. I'm not strong and have very weak hands and arms but this little gizmo makes it easy to open those food buckets. This is an absolute must for anybody who buys those things. I'm very happy with this and recommend it heartily. It's made of heavy plastic and doesn't look likely to break though I think I'll keep it out of the sun because plastic doesn't do very well in Arizona once the sun gets to it. Oh, and the one I got was black, not green like the picture. Not that the color makes a whit of difference, but I'm putting it in anyhow.

The item is black, by the way. Monitors and the image, may make it appear green to you but it is indeed, black. The item is extremely durable and is weighty in the hand but not heavy. On one side it has one prong that sticks out at an angle. On the other side there is two prongs with a different shape that stick out. I use the word 'prongs' for lack of a better word. The large opening is made like a bottle opener in which you can slide under the bucket lip and raise upward to release the lid. The handle has some grooves that accommodate the hand and makes it comfortable to hold. There is a good size hole in the end in which you could hang the item. It's also imprinted in the handle MADE IN USA. The item appears to be multi-functional in that you may be able to use it to open a variety of buckets, smaller cans, etc. And I will add this note.....I sure wouldn't want to get banged over the head with it!
