Delivered Compressed in a Vacuum Bag - After opening the vacuum bag, the futon mattress will gain air and return to its original thickness. There may be wrinkles, but this is not a defect. Please air for a few hours. On a dry, sunny day, dry the futon on both sides for about two hours each so that it gets airy, fluffy, and soft. Store in a dry place, with the mattress on the bottom and the comforter on top. If stored for a while, it should be dried first and stored in a dry place with the cover removed. Dry the futon on a regular basis even if not in use. Spot clean and dry well when it becomes dirty. Non-machine washable. Please refer to a dry cleaner or a futon company. Precautions: To prevent the futon from getting damaged, please use covers or sheets. Make sure to wash the cover and sheets frequently. The futon should be dried in the sunshine or in a futon dryer. With sunshine and heat, it will become more resilient, warm, and fluffy. Lightly beat the futon occasionally to remove dust.

Fuli Japan Futon King size mattress
Received my Fuli Japan futon mattress earlier than expected and package was complete without damage. The futon was double packaged in a vacuum plastic bag in another plastic bag for extra protection against the weather upon delivery. Well thought out and smart. After unpacking my mattress I read the one sheet instruction paper, and was very impressed with the care instructions--not complicated but showed the care the manufacturer takes in making this mattress. It took about an hour for the futon to expand to its normal size with practically no material odors usually found with other less expensive futons. I aired it out according to instructions indoors--it was too difficult to take it outdoors. But I was again impressed with the firmness and stiffness of this futon that is slightly less than four inches in thickness. The covering is soft to the touch yet strong. Not to worry about tearing. Excellent choice of materials. To conclude: the mattress gave me the best sleep I have had in many years. It's amazingly comfortable, and for me--therapeutic.
