Good tool for tilling/ cultivating soil
I tried the rotary cultivator today and it did a great job tilling the soil so I can plant my roses and uproot weeds. Each of the blades is 2-1/2" long and digs the soil, even clay, nicely and evenly. The blades are set unevenly (not flat) so they dig up the soil inches deep. The metal spikes are really sharp and sturdy and do not bend so you won't worry about anything breaking while you use it. Assembly is easy - just screw poles into grooves - handle is on one end, and the part with spikes on the other. The part with spikes you secure with two screws (tool provided). Altogether the cultivator is more than 5 feet long so you can use it standing up. This cultivator works well between plants because it is narrow. This is a good feature for my yard work because it pulls up the tiny weeds including their roots near my boxwoods, so I can finally pull the whole weed. (When the roots are left in the soil, they grow back in a few days!). I am happy with this tiller/ cultivator - the right tool for the job!
