Absolutely perfect! My toddler loves being a part of whatever is going on in the kitchen. I love that he can safely join in and I don't have to worrying about him tipping over the stool or falling out. He loves to climb up and down the steps and even just sitting on the steps. we got this for my soon to be 2 year old. He always loves for us to pick him up while we cook or use the sink. This has been a BACK SAVER! It was super easy to assemble, the only thing that personally drove me nuts was the labels they stick on the chalkboard part. it's VERY hard to get off but that's my personal peeve. It's super Sturdy, I'm not worried about him falling out of it, it's been a great addition to our house.
