I bought the salmon color because it was several $s less than the other colors. What can I say, I'm a frugal guy that doesn't mind the color, even though I'm straight. It's Salmon not Pink, as seen in attached pictures. AND: CLEAR DISTINCTION: I try to exclusively and only purchase Walmart Marketplace sold items that are SHIPPED by Walmart, no matter who sells the items. To me this weans Walmart has more confidence in the item, that Walmart stocks the item in a Walmart warehouse, even though Walmart doesn't purchase them in bulk. These types of items are in the Walmart warehouse and shipped to Walmart standards to Walmart customers. *Most Walmart Marketplace items are sold AND shipped by the seller, not Walmart * I bought this for use in a portable USB heating system that doesn't get so hot that it would melt the plastic. They work great together to warm/heat a full meal ANYTIME, ANYWHERE, and I use a Powerbank for the power source for truly anytime-anywhere heating my meal. The temperature gets up to about 125 degrees Fahrenheit heating my food, not high enough to melt the plastic but, high enough to have a hot meal. About the latching mechanism: yeah, it's strong and can be hard to close and open but, it truly is waterproof from anything getting out from the inside. It does NOT seal from the bottom section to the tray, that would require even more seals and even stronger latching mechanisms and more cost to manufacture and higher cost to the customer. If you put any wet or liquid items in the main compartment (even salad fixings), and want to not saturate the items you put in the tray, keep it upright at all times. Corn chips, potato chips, bread and such, will get soggy in the tray if moisture producing items are put in the main section. To avoid this, keep them in a separate container or put them in a baggy in the upper section. To latch closed more easily: clasp your hand at the outer edge of the latch and the bottom of the container and squeeze. You will hear and feel a *SNAP* when it closes, as this compresses the top, the bottom, and the waterproof seal all at the same time. Repeat for the remaining latches. Opening is a bit tougher: I use a metal utensil (spoon) *handle* and slip it between the latch and the box and twist it to pop it open. Other items may work as well. (Yeah, I broke a couple fingernails the first time opening it but, I'd rather have it tight AND watertight sealed, instead of easy to close and not waterproof) “Bento” means compartmented (food) box, originally used in Japanese restaurants providing meals on-the-go.
