You can not shock the glass by using one extreme temperature to the next! You must let the glass pitcher come to room temperature before adding the cold or hot liquids. Do not go from Hot straight to Cold %26 Do not go from Cold to Hot %26 never put in a freezer or on stove top. Very easy to use, pour , It is very sturdy %26 good quilty glass ! Easy to clean.
