I bought some lids from Amazon on the cheap. Canned up a bunch of salsa and when I went to make sure the lids were sealed and they made big dents when tested with a spoon. Took off the lids and rings and was storing them and a lid came off. Ended up having to do everything over with these lids. They all sealed perfectly and I could hear them pop when they sealed.

Lesson learned: Ball lids are the only ones I buy from now on. Lesson learned: I am an experienced canner, I was given a pack of lids from a friend, so I decided to try just two of knock off brand, they distorted and didn’t seal properly. Doesn’t matter how much you save, it’s not worth all your time and effort for nutritious food if the lids fail.
