I can't believe I have lived so long without my Ninja Foodie. I hesitated to buy this because of the price. After owning it for a little over a month now, I would pay twice as much for it. It is that good! I use it at least twice a day. AIR FRYER: This cycle is great for frozen snacks like French fries, cheese sticks, chicken fingers, etc. Your food not only cooks thoroughly, but crisps as well. Lightly coat the air fryer basket to prevent sticking AIR ROAST: I love this cycle for roasting vegetables. My personal favorite roasted vegetables are broccoli, or onions and potatoes lightly misted and seasoned with garlic salt and pepper. AIR BROIL: I have used this cycle for small steaks, hamburgers, and hot dogs. I also use it to brown the tops of my casseroles. BAKE: This is my favorite cycle because it only takes a few seconds to preheat, not like a big oven which takes several minutes. Foodie will sound a short beep after preheating and then begin the cooking process. Until you get used to this appliance, reduce the baking time a few minutes because it bakes a little faster than a regular oven. Everything I have baked so far has cooked very evenly. I have made pies, cornbread, casseroles and slice-and-bake cookies (on parchment paper). TOAST: If you like plain toast, buttered toast, cinnamon toast, or cheese toast, you will love how this cycle works. Toast is browned on both sides to perfection. You can adjust the amount of slices and also control the darkness easily. Homemade seasoned croutons are a cinch to make, too. BAGEL: No more adjusting your toaster to accommodate a large bagel or English muffin. As with the toast cycle, you can set the control for number of slices and level of darkness. If you like your bagels or muffins buttered before toasting, this is the perfect cycle. Bonus: You can toss your old toaster. One less appliance on your counter. After you have finished cooking, Foodie will beep and begin its cooling down process by running its internal fan and alerting on the LED screen that it is still HOT. After it has cooled, the screen will show FLIP, then you can lift it up to save valuable counter space. Clean-up is so easy. There is a crumb catcher tray in the bottom. It is easily removed and a cinch to clean. The back of the your Foodie opens completely for a thorough cleaning. Sometimes a drip (cheese or sauce) will fall on the heating component. It is easily cleaned with a damp cloth after the Foodie has cooled. FYI: This would be great in a camper next summer. It is lightweight and totally portable. It would also be the perfect gift for a newlywed couple or a single person living in a small apartment. I would suggest that you have parchment paper for appetizers or vegetable roasting, etc, and a small oil mister or fine brush for lightly coating the air fryer basket.
