Love this pitcher. It's very light weight, but seems to be sturdy, and does fine in the dishwasher. It's a rather odd and random size...61 ounces (if you want to use it for frozen OJ, for example, it's 3 ounces too small!) but works for the two of us for iced tea; we make a pitcher every few days. It fits in the fridge with no problem and is very nice for a medium size pitcher, especially if you prefer glass over plastic. Worth the price.

The carafe works great. I can pour hot water in it and it doesn't break. this is what I make my iced tea in. It holds one pot full of hot boiling water just fine. The lid fits snugly on there and doesn't come off when you pour. it's very lightweight. It reminds me of a beaker in the lab. The glass is very thin but sturdy. some people remark that the size is small but I find it to be just right. it holds enough tea to serve me for a couple of days. and that's drinking a lot. I am one person in my household. and at its low price, it is a great value.
