MUST READ THIS!

I don't normally participate in manufacturers'/vendors' "Strive for 5" game. The whole process of "reviewing" products/services has become a "game" that's played for the express purpose of boasting about having the "highest" ratings. i.e, the Strive for Five, with little or no desire to gauge product/service quality, or lack thereof. PSA announcement of the day: if you're checking reviews, which you should, go right to the 1 and 2 star reviews and look for well written, constructive reviews that may help you avoid ending up regretting your purchase. 5 star reviews that state, "Nice, or Works Good, or Fast Shipping, etc." are not really of much value. Anyway, here I am doing what I say that I don't normally do. I have been smoking meat, fish, sausage, cheese, etc., for literally decades. About three years ago I decided to try 'cold smoke' smoking. That's where the source of heat for the smoker, and the source of heat needed to generate smoke are separate. A great concept especially for things like cheese, slow cured meats, etc. Having built my own smoker I figured that I could also build a cold smoke generator. Yeah, I'm a fiscally stingy person. Spent some time on the old interweb looking at DIY projects and commercially available units. The result? A home built unit that worked just marginally well. I ended up spending more time cursing it than smoking things. As such I figured that I'd take another look at commercially available units, of which there are many. I happened across this one and it looked a lot like I wish mine had turned out. Not having the best of luck purchasing 'made in a land far east of here' items I figured that I'd take a chance and buy one. If I had to return it it wouldn't be the first time. Heck, this is getting really long isn't it! Anyway I found the unit to be one of the best designed and constructed devices of this nature that I have ever purchased. the materials quality and workmanship was A . Very little assembly and fired right up and worked as advertised. The enclosed manual was 'pretty decent' for a Chinglish translation. Not a real issue as the assembly was pretty much self explanatory, as was the actual operation of the unit. The added 'bonus' was reading the manual was somewhat entertaining. The tubing that delivers the generated smoke was referred to as the "trachea" throughout the manual. Funny, at least to me anyway. Anyway, I would highly recommend. Thanks for taking the time to read this. Scott
