I live in one an area that was hard hit by Helen. I still have friends and neighbors that are homeless well over a year after the hurricane. When my water eventually came back on after Helene, I had vegetative matter than came through with the tap water. The water department didn't seem concerned, so I bought a RO filter for my drinking water. I was storing it in used plastic containers and eventually out of concern for microplastics and dissolved plastic material in the very pure RO water, I felt the need to get some stainless steel storage containers. These are easy to clean, look nice, and are easy to use. The water tastes better than when it was stored in plastic containers, and I am glad to reduce my exposure to hormone disruptors and toxins. Also great for taking water with me for the day.
