Best thing is it comes straight out of the box fully assembled. All you need to do is place it where you want it in the house and add your kitty litter in it. I have a 12.2 Lb cat and he fits in it very well with no problems. I love the little chimney on top. I notice you can take off the cap on it and set a filter inside to help with the bad poops, lol. I would highly recommend! I have 2 cats so I got 2 of them in my house now.

Too small for 18 pound cats.

The ad says that it is for extra large cats. However, either my cats are super extra large or the manufactures don't know what extra large cats look like. Two of my cats are 18 pounds and they are not pleased with the size of this one. And won't use it The smaller of my cats will use it. They are 6 - 8 pounds.

no this is not an extra large, in fact I was really quite disappointed with how small it actually is. I got this because it said extra large and I was thinking it was going to be quite big so I could use it for multiple cats. I'm still thinking my one cat would use it, and not two..
