These are extra long to make space for the padding. The padding works great at keeping liquid from escaping the bag when sealing. Since I purchase packages of meat in bulk, these are great for repacking the meat into smaller portions I can label and date them so that I reduce wasted food..

I recently purchased 2 packages of these bags on a whim. I was preparing to make my annual 5 - or so gallons of homemade tomato sauce. In past years, no matter what I tried, I had the worst luck getting the sauce ready for long term storage in FoodSaver bags. What a complete change this year. The Liquid Block bags were a lifesaver. Worked beautifully. All 24 quarts of sauce sealed and not one got past the Liquid Block seal. Time to order more bags.
