These blocks have a strong but not overpowering scent that is longlasting. They can easily be placed under furniture or other hidden space. I find them a bit too strong for the car but mainly use in bathrooms placed behind the toilet or under the vanity. No electricity, flame, spritzing, lights, or plastic. Just a compostable brick that smells good. It's a plus for me that it does not smell like coconut. I use one in a small trash can under the bag liner and the other near a hamper of often moist items.
