I bought this to utilize with a standing desk I also bought from Walmart. I originally had the monitor on the desk on a monitor stand but the desk has way too much movement in it so the monitor would wobble and I was also concerned with cats that it could fall off the new desk. I bought this and I no longer have to worry about the monitor falling. I was slightly confused at first how to move the arm around after I attached it since it had the monitor right up in my face since I have never used one of these before but I was able to figure it out and it works really well. I would definitely recommend this.

It works well, but I wish it could be extended further up. The “default” angle/tension it comes with out of the box is the “highest” it will go. You can tighten the tension to lower it, but you can't go any further the other way. I wanted to mount one monitor directly above another one, and this means I unfortunately can't raise that monitor high enough to full clear the bottom one.
