I actually bought this to feed my koi fish when I am on vacation. An automatic Koi fish feeder would cost me two or three times more than this cat feeder. I have used it for a week, and it turns out to be the best feeder. You can also use it for a small dog.

Programmable, so it feeds several times a day and makes caring for my little feral kitties easier with my work schedule. the locking lid and base make it harder for other animals to steal all the food. if using for feral outdoor feeding, i do recommend weighing it down with 20-30lb weights so the animals cant cart it away. capicity is perfect as it holds a weeks worth of food for my ferals and has several aettings on dispensed amount.
