I took this to the laundromat and washed and dried it in the big dryers, alternating between medium and low heat. It fluffed up better than I expected. It did have a slight smell but I washed it in gain and used downy softener. It is covered with a serta simply clean duvet cover and the cover fits perfectly. I like a king size comforter on our queen bed so we're not fighting over the comforter all night. This is my first duvet and I have to say I'm very pleased with the look of it. I've been wanting to replace the regular cotton comforter on our bed for some time because it's harder to keep clean. I'm thinking this will be an improvement because the duvet covers will be easier to keep clean in my washer at home and I won't have to lug bedding to the laundromat. I feel it almost gives our bed a hotel look and I like that.
