Once You Figure It Out
Well glad I read the other review to figure out how to open the battery compartment. Once we did, it worked well and got the pencils nice and sharp. I only gave 4 stars, as there should be some kind of instructions on how to install batteries and/or operate the machine.

How To Remove Cover For Battery Casing:
Squeeze and pull down on the colored part opposite the sharpener. I give the product a 5, and the Westcott website a 3 for not giving more info. It seems like a good product.
