I have been pleasantly surprised by this monitor. So, we have a unique story behind this. Several years ago we brought home a stray kitten from a community colony because we could tell he needed medical attention. He was a small little thing, didn't have a tail, and walked funny but we thought that he was a Manx (there were several others in the colony). After bringing him home, cleaning him up, and taking him to a vet, we found he had a very severe tail pull injury which left him with nerve damage in his hind end. We didn't realize exactly how extensive it was but we have found he can't completely control his body functions and we have to monitor him closely for constipation. Fast forward: Last year, we brought home 3 more cats from the colony (to vaccinate, fix, and adopt out or release) but have decided to keep them. We have been trying to figure out how to get all of them to be able to live together in one space but monitor them the way we need to. While we have only used one monitor on the cats that don't have health issues (we wanted to test it out before merging all the cats) we have been really impressed. It does a great job at differentiating between the cats, keeping track of body functions, and giving us notifications of things like weight changes and lack of visits to the box. I think this will be the perfect answer to our very particular need.

Surprised by how great it is!

I didn't think I'd love this monitoring system as much as I do! It's been mostly accurate and really helps me keep track of the habits of my older cats, as well as keep track of their weight. The scale is spot on, matching up with weights obtained at vet visits. It's been worth every penny!

HIGHLY recommend to EVERYONE with cats!

Absolutely love the Petivity litter box monitoring system...bought two and ended up purchasing two more since I have five indoor cats. I would have gotten a couple more one but my other litter boxes are too big (wish they offered a very extra large version). One of my cats needs to be monitored to make sure she poops regularly and this is a tremendous tool to track that info. Also, love how I can keep an eye on their weight as well.
