I bought three of these and two of them were for gifts. I thought I reviewed one but I will say again these pressure cookers were great my third one. I use one to two at a time I have two six quart cookers and one eight quart cooker. with this pressure cooker you just have to push the button at the bottom and it goes through all of the options one at a time instead of pressing the button itself for the option which keeps that panel cleaner. in the center there is a manual pressure cooking option I use as well. just read your book.. it came with an extra panel that was Spanish. I never looked at the extra panel I just thought well that's neat I told the two people that I gave it to as a gift that it had an extra panel if you messed it up hopefully they won't pull it off without looking to see that it is written in Spanish. that was a very good idea though. I like this brand as well as my other six quart brand which is power XL. I definitely like it better than my 8 quart pressure cooker. when you first try to shut the lid don't let it frustrate you, read the directions thoroughly before you start. just like it says, you line up the two arrows on the lid and pot and turn it to shut the lid. pressure cooking is my best cooking method for almost every meal that I prepare. I am converting lots of recipes to pressure cooking, even casseroles. for me I do everything on the pressure setting rather than slow cooking or soup and stew settings. if I'm going to slow cook I'm probably going to do that on my stove top. I can complete a whole meal in under an hour from start finish including the meat. I can cook a roast to pieces in 35 minutes. not necessary but I sliced my roast into one inch strips sometimes. you can quit paying Grill something and throw it in the pressure cooker for 10 minutes and it can be cut with a fork . I bake large baked potatoes by putting them on the rack with a little water under it and staggering them in a circle I'll cook those about 22 minutes if they're really large on pressure high. for Great Potato Salad slice large potatoes in half leave the peeling on pressure cook them for about 18 minutes pullthe scins off and coarsely chop them and that is the best way I have ever cooked potato salad. the potatoes are not watered down. I would buy this brand again I've used it a long time now.
