Mom used to make these on Thanksgiving morning and Christmas Eve mornings for us. But neither my Mom or I were ever to figure out how to keep the bottoms for burning. Until I stumbled on a sure fire method. Crumble up a sheet of aluminum foil, spread it out, but don't flatten the wrinkles, place the rolls on the foil, bake for about 13 to 15 minutes and they come out golden brown all over.

i'm not in the mood for orange icing cinnamon rolls very often but when I am, watch out. I live alone so I only cook 4 or 5 of the 8. while they are cooking I slightly warm the icing. when the rolls are done, I cut them in 1/2 and dip them in the orange icing. omg, SO GOOD. then I get a big glass of milk..., there are some downsides to living alone but the upside is eating these the way you like them and no one knows!!!! heaven!!!!!

orange rolls are the Best
I have loved the scent and flavor of the orange frosting since i can remember . The quality of the dough has changed . Nine times out of ten when the carboard container pops open the rolls are torn. Most times they do not seperate well into individual rolls. i re-roll them to make large double sized rolls. I fool myself that I am eating two rolls not four. (my half) the quality of the cinnamon is average. it does compliment the finished product. i dont realky care that they fly apart when the container pops. i am going to re-roll them anyway. The baked off dough is just a vehicle for the orange frosting . i always cheat and put more trosting on my two rolls. . Double sized rolls have a lovely soft cemter . .
