Better than Jambalaya Mix
This is so much better and flavorful than the Jambalaya mix. Brown your sausage and set aside. Then, add the rice packet, 2.3 cups of water, 2tbps of unsalted butter, dash of cayenne and mix together. Bring to a boil, then cover and set burner to low and simmer for 26-27 minutes. I mixed the rice and beans after 15 minutes have passed and then re-cover. Then final mix during the last 3 minutes of cooking. Add sausage that you browned earlier, mix, take off heat, cover for 5 minutes. You will thank me afterwards.

I just threw this in the instant pot along with the water and butter as recommended on the package, and some bite sized pieces of andouille sausage. Set to rice mode and bam!
