Overall opinion

It is light. And with that comes that you can take more stuff with you. However the newer versions they make are only half way expandable and that is no good. Now, as for comparison with hard shells - Im a Samsonite fan, but they got so bad and so thin that two cracked in 3 trips, so this one definitely outlasted the Sams. So for conclusion- if you can afford hard shells that is more than $600 retail price good, but if not (and that is why you are reading reviews on Walmart) go with IT , it is great for the money.
