My statue fountain project

I recently purchased a statue from an estate sale and with some modifications it will be a beautiful fountain near my garden section. I was concerned about the pump to accomplish this and tried this one. The project is not finished yet but we have tested the pump and works wonderfully. I love the quality and the power it provides. I highly recommend this!

Great Pump, Good Buy

Alpine Corporation 4100GPH Eco-Sphere Pond Pump The pump came well packaged and undamaged. All of the listed parts were in the box. First off, my garden pond is still a work in progress. The pond that I'm installing is 125 gallons with a smaller 50 gallon pond spilling into it. It will be placed in my back yard in Tucson, AZ. I know that I'm placing it a little too close to a tree, but I want that shade for our hot summer months. As you can see from my pictures, the larger pond is dug in and the smaller one will sit higher to create a little water fall.. I have tested the Alpine pump and it works great. I like that it has a carrying handle. I can attach something to the handle and use it to pull the pump from the water whenever it's needed. The 360 degree rotating adapter is going to make it a lot easier to place the water hose going to the top pond. I haven't run the pump enough to know how energy efficient it's really going to be. I am hoping for the energy savings to be close to the 75% reduction the company talks about. That's one reason I stopped having a pong several years ago. The pump sits inside a cage that serves as a pre-filter. The cage will handle larger debris but I think I'll add an intake filter also. The pump came with a 33 feet long cord. That's a great feature. The bottom line is that this is a very nice pump. It may turn out to be a little bigger than what I needed, but I'm very pleased with it. The pump moves a great deal of water and it does it very quietly. The three year warranty is also a big plus. I made a call to Alpine's customer service number just to ask a general question and to be truthful I also wanted to see how they handled a customers call. The young lady I spoke to answered the phone within just 1 or 2 minutes. She was very helpful and unrushed. She was able to answer my question and offered her help in the future anytime I needed it. It was great customer service in this day-in-age when I'm sorry to say it's really not expected anymore. I most definitely recommend this pump to anyone who wants to install their first water feature or to anyone who has worked with underwater pumps in the past. You will be pleased with how the pump works.

Smooth flow

The instructions are straightforward with good diagrams. Tips and warnings for why you need to do something a certain way. The flow is quiet and even so you can enjoy the sound of the water and not the pump. Installation was simple and easy with plenty of electric cord length (33ft) to allow for even a large pond.
