ZINUS RICARDO CONTEMPORARY UPHOLSTERED SOFA, BLUE

this review is for the ZINUS RICARDO CONTEMPORARY UPHOLSTERED 78.4" inches SOFA, BLUE COLOR. this sofa consists of 6 upholstered separate pieces and 4 legs(hard plastic). this sofa/couch is shipped in 1 rectangle box which can be handled by 1 person having some strength. once the box is opened, all the pieces are packed in such a compact manner as to save space. assembling this sofa can be accomplished by 1 person, providing that person props one end up against a solid surface so that pressure can be applied to the end arm piece for the metal connectors to slide in snugly. the base needs to be supported with a solid object as well, if this assembly is done by just 1 person. the the metal supports that are attached to the inside surface of the arm rests and also the base, fit together in a V shape. the base V shape supports the upper V shape...sliding together. the back of the couch also slides into a third V shape that is also on the side arms of the sofa. this sofa makes a perfect conversational couch. meaning that it is the style of couch that is great for having company over for a visit and conversing while sitting comfortable. the reason i mention this is that this sofa isnt very wide from front to back and the knees of an adult person rests a couple of inches or more off the endge of the seat. a young child or young teen could lay comfortably on this sofa, but wouldnt be so for the average adult. the seat base of the sofa is supportive. no springs can be seen under the base and there is a covering over the bottom underneath which has velcro around the edges to conceal the open space. the sofa fits 3 adults comfortably. using corner pillows on the ends of the couch will help support the body weight of any person sitting on the ends. this sofa/couch is the perfect answer for people who are in apartments that have space dilemmas in hallways or corners because these sofa pieces can be carried individually. the base is narrow enough that if it is stood up on end, it would fit around and in any openings. also great for using in college dorms or dens. the directions are pictures only, no wording. there is a limited 1 year warranty. NOTE: before assembling the legs, remove the black protective cover tips covering the bolt.

Nice Sofa!

I received this sofa pretty quickly, and was very excited to put it together. It came in a large box, and was broken down in 4 pieces. Out of the box it was extremely easy to put together. The base of the couch on which you sit has brackets on the sides for the arms to slide in to and connect. The back of the couch also has brackets that slide into the base to connect. Once everything is in place, you can put the cushions on. There are 2 large cushions for sitting and 2 large cushions for your back. The 2 back cushions velcro to the back of the couch to secure them in place so they dont fall forward or move around. When you sit on the sofa for the first time you will hear all of the brackets snap in to place. The fabric is a nice tough material and the shade of blue is perfect. This is a firm, sturdy sofa. Very nice!

Very comfortable, stylish sofa

This sofa is very easy to put together if you have 2 people to do it, or one large person. Everything more or less slides into holders in other parts, except for the legs, which screw in. Nice gray-blue color. Large enough for 3 average-sized people or 2 larger people. Comfortable to sit on and lean back. Easy to get out of. I would highly recommend this.
