I ordered this table to replace an iron-base/glass top table when my baby granddaughter began pulling up and trying to walk. I was looking for something sturdy and safe, and this table is both! It was easy to put together, fit into my home perfectly, %26 is super great in the living room. Multiple dogs, cats, children, %26 a husband- still in perfect condition almost 6 months after! We have poufs underneath for extra seating- the kids love to sit on to eat snacks, color, watch tv. It is strong %26 sturdy yet light enough for me to move around to clean. Love my table. it's definitely big enough to fit comfortably in a large or not so large living room area. The gold legs are not shiny, they're more of a matte brass therefore it simulates more if you don't have other gold accents to match it with. Very sturdy and extremely easy to put together just very heavy.
