If you have cats and a ceiling fan...

Small but mighty. We bought this for our cat room, which has a 52" ceiling fan light. We had to remove the fan blades - you know cats - if it moves, sparkles, shakes, twirles, or dangles - it is prey. We didn't want to just put a room fan in anywhere (that the cats could get to), so this seemed like the perfect solution. It is. When it arrived, it was in a crushed damaged box, and my first thought was (colorful metaphor), but when I removed it from the box, only the swivel neck was unattached, which snapped easily back into place, and I held my breath to see if it worked. We removed the ceiling fan single bulb light cover, and just screwed it in the light bulb socket and turned on the switch. yay. We took a photo with one of the fan blades left on so you could gauge the size a little better. It really throws a bright light, adjustable to bright, yellowish dim and a blue tinted bright. I love that it is directional, so the light and air can be directed where needed. Although only the light turns on when we flip the wall switch, the fan and other adjustments are only available with the remote, which is a little annoying and a bit awkward at first, but it has several adjustment choices and sleep mode. The fan is just right, and protected from curious paws, if we happen to put a cat tree to close to it... and it does help a lot to circulate air in a small (10' x 14' room), even with the door open we could feel the difference in the air.
