I like the fact that there is a hard floor option and a carpet option. it's self-propelled, I have not had a self-propelled vacuum in a long time. I think it picks up great. I have two dogs and I used it to vacuum up the tile floor, followed by sweeping and there was no dirt left

ever since getting a dyson i swore i'd always have one. but when it finally gave out i decided to look at other options, realizing that other brands have come a long way in recent years. i really like my new shark!! its a little lighter than my old dyson, i like that the brush head fits in more places and that the filters are easier to access and clean. i also love that the brush head is self cleaning...a big drawback to my old vacuum and the cost of that feature on the other brand is steep! the duo brush heads are fabulous and ensure that everything gets sucked up. i dont have to lift the vacuum on hard floors to get a piece of dog food in, for example. only drawback i can think of is the cord is a little shorter...no big deal.
