The Oreck Commercial Upright Vacuum, Gray is a commercial grade vacuum that offers all the power and performance you expect from an Oreck. This versatile upright makes it easy to keep your business clean. It gets up close to cabinets and baseboards and fits easily under most furniture, clothes racks, chairs and desks. It can be used on all surfaces including carpet, wood, laminate and tile with no manual height adjustment. Weighing about 9 pounds*, it's lightweight and covers a 12" wide area which makes cleaning easy and quick. It includes Hall Effect Sensor Technology that shuts down the brush roll to protect the motor from unexpected jams. It also has the exclusive Micro sweep feature that allows you to switch from carpet to bare floors with no adjustments and a 630 cubic inch “top fill” bag. The 40-foot power cord is connected to the pigtail cord using a cord clamp, allowing you to easily replace a damaged cord without expensive repairs or re-wiring.

So far, so good.
I just purchased this vacuum about a month ago. I've had an Oreck in the past similar to this model and it lasted almost 20 years. Pretty impressive. So, I bought this one a short time after the other one finally broke. So far, I am still impressed with the Oreck vacuum. The two speed switch is still one of the best features on the vacuum. When I get onto light carpet I simply hit the switch to low speed and keep going. I had a single speed vacuum for a short time between the time of my old Oreck and my new one. I was constantly having to pull the light carpet away from the suction head because I couldn't turn down the speed of the motor. Not so with this Oreck model. I simply hit the switch to low speed and it still gives my light carpets a good cleaning. I am still sold on the Oreck brand and hope this one will last 20 years too.

Nice vacuum
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We use our commercial vacuum daily and this vacuum is a great way to get under beds and the beater brush dies a great job on carpets. Only complaint is the handles are cheap for a higher priced vac.
